Budget process is broken

   There are so many breakdowns in Habersham County’s budget process that it is hard to know where to begin.    First and perhaps most importantly, this process should not be crammed into the final weeks of June. The budget is supposed to be 100 percent finished by June 30.

Americans are too greedy To the editor:    Has America turned into a greedy nation? I say yes and yes wholeheartedly.    First, how does America judge itself? The stock market has become the scale that America uses to judge success on, is that a true measurement of success?

How things have changed

   I was always Daddy’s Little Girl.    That was my identity as I followed him around the halls of the high school as he ran his errands and socialized.    I sat next to him during shows, and when he saw a student needed help, he signaled me to come with him backstage.

Voting matters

   We need a better electoral system here in Georgia.    Just in the last five years, we have seen all manner of ridiculous scenarios that have placed the outcome of a serious election in the hands of a few, as well as one that completely violated any logical processes.

Make the regular season great again
