The day I will not forget

I remember the day our first was born. Instinctually, I counted fingers and toes just after I heard our little baby boy’s lungs crying loudly. And all was right with the world, even if it was only for a moment in time.

Being a Christian American

To the editor: For over 50 years, I have been an American born and raised in the greatest nation on the face of the earth. I’ve never seen a crisis of any kind she couldn’t overcome. But in recent years, I have seen changes taking place that are slowing destroying and taking away her power.

Researchers from Mercer University recently came out with some alarming figures about farming and its correlation to mental health. According to Georgia Farm Bureau, The study showed that 29 percent of farmer workers, owners and managers had thought of suicide in the past year.
