Still feeling the sting years later

It’s been 19 years, but I still feel the effects every time I put my shoes on. We moved around a lot when I was a kid, but we settled in St. Petersburg, Fla., for most of my school years. I started mowing the lawn before I was 10, but our yard was not all that large, so it was pretty easy.

A funny thing happened on the way to Georgia’s widely predicted disenfranchisement of its voters: Voter turnout increased. In last month’s primary elections, turnout was more than 50 percent higher than in the previous midterm election of 2018.

A letter on gun control

To the editor: I wish to begin my letter by expressing my sympathy for victims and families involved in mass shootings. It would have to be horrible beyond words. I cannot change what has happened, but I can address the future.

Ok, the answer for the riddle was ... onion. Thanks for playing along. Lemon and Blueberry just seem to go together perfectly. So, I’ve come up with a wonderful cake that brings both of those together for an awesome dessert. It all starts with my simple homemade cake recipe that’s easy.

Help our cemetery

To the editor: How many families in this area have relatives buried in Level Grove Cemetery? There are numerous graves that have been neglected for years so possibly there are no remaining family members here to care for those graves.
