Habersham gets split on first road trip

By Landen Todd On Thursday evening, Aug. 7, the Habersham Central High School volleyball team headed on the road for the first time falling to non-region opponent Morgan County (23-25, 18-25) and beating the Warriors in three sets (21-25, 25-19, 15-12) at White County High School.

Habersham Central walks off 7-6 for home opener

By Landen Todd On Wednesday evening, Aug. 6, the Lady Raiders walked off against Johns Creek 7-6 for their first win of the season at Raider Field. Habersham Central started out hot in the bottom of the first inning.

Lady Raiders win three straight in home opener

By Landen Todd The Habersham Central High School volleyball team started the season right, winning three straight matches all in sweeps at home against Lumpkin County, Dawson County and Stephens County.

Raiders put on a show in scrimmage

By Landen Todd The Raiders ransacked Oconee County 44-14 in a scrimmage at Oconee County High School on Friday evening, Aug. 1. The Raider fans traveled well,  filling up the away seats by making the atmosphere feel like it was a game on the line.

First responders battle to support kids

By Landen Todd The Easton Foundation held the 12th annual Battle of the Heroes at Raider Stadium on a wet Saturday evening, Aug. 2.  The physical flag football game had first responders from Habersham, Hall and surrounding counties against each other.

Battle of the Heroes returns for 12th year

By Landen Todd The Easton Foundation is hosting the 12th annual Battle of the Heroes at John Larry Black Field on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m.  The free event puts first responders from Habersham, Hall and surrounding counties against each other in a flag football game.

Raiders fight through the dog days

TFS softball heads into year two

By Landen Todd On Tuesday evening, July 29, the team started out working in the batting cages, then headed to the softball field to work on some defense. Tallulah Falls School softball program has been working throughout the summer as the team heads into only its second year as a program.

Chitwood racking up this summer

Select Team Academy

By Landen Todd The Raider Soccer Academy held its Select Team Academy at Raider Stadium and the practice fields on July 21-24. The program is for competitive boys and girls ages 8-15 on academy or select teams.
