Lady Raiders lose nail bitter to Rabun Gap

By Landen Todd The Lady Raiders went back back and forth in a best of five against Rabun Gap, but came up short (25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 19-25, 10-15) at Raider Gymnasium on Thursday, Aug. 28. The Eagles came in with a 5-3 record and coming off two straight wins.

Raiders win in road battle

By Landen Todd It was not the prettiest win for Habersham Central but they took care of business beating the Warriors 17-3 at Warrior Stadium on Friday, Aug. 29. The Raiders head into September with a 2-1 record. The Raiders had 13 penalties on the night and turned over  the ball three times.

Raiders set voyage to White County

By Landen Todd The Raiders hit the road for the first time with a matchup against White County. Habersham Central hopes to bounce back from losing a close one at home last week against Flowery Branch 31-28, where the Raiders had an uphill battle all game.

Lady Raiders comeback on Rabun Gap

By Landen Todd The Habersham Central High School volleyball team was down 0-2 in a best of five to the Eagles, but made a remarkable comeback and won three sets in a row (19-25, 14-25, 25-17, 28-26, 20-18) on Thursday, Aug. 21 at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School.

Raiders fall short to Flowery Branch

By Landen Todd Habersham Central fell short of a comeback win Friday night when Flowery Branch came to Raider Stadium. After a failed Raiders onside kick, the Falcons won 31-28. The Raiders trailed the whole game and were down 14 points at halftime from a deadly run game by Flowery Branch.

Lady Raiders beat Madison, Banks

By Landen Todd It was a night of ups and downs for the Habersham Central High School volleyball team. The Lady Raiders beat the Madison County Red Raiders in three sets (25-14, 20-25, 15-11) and beat the Banks County Leopards in two sets (27-25, 25-22) at Banks County High School on Tuesday, Aug.

Raiders hope to keep sailing

By Landen Todd The Raiders conquered their biggest rival last week, but now it’s time to focus on beating the Falcons tonight at home. Last week Habersham Central High School  Head Coach Benji Harrision said that beating the Indians was going to be a tone setter for the rest of the season.

Raiders take down Stephens County

By Landen Todd On a stormy Friday evening, the Habersham Central High School football team took down the Indians 27-3 at Raider Stadium. This is the first win for the Raiders against their big rival since 2019. “Special is the word that comes to mind,” Head Coach Benji Harrison said.

Raider football is here

By Landen Todd The weather may not feel like football weather yet, but Raider football is back this Friday against big rival Stephens County at Raider Stadium. The Raider Rowdies will fill the stands with cowboy gear for Raider Rodeo Spirit Day.
