Swim team takes 8 state championships

Lady Raiders learn from experience

By Landen Todd The Habersham Central High School volleyball team held its annual All-American Camp at the Raider Gymnasium on July 14-16. The camp had veteran volleyball players who bring everything they’ve learned and implement it based on what is needed for the program.

Raiders grow at FCA Team Camp

By Landen Todd Habersham Central High School football had its FCA Team Camp at Piedmont University on July 14-16. The Raiders were able to keep distractions away by staying at the camp and competing strongly against other teams for the three days.

Piedmont to hold basketball camp

The Piedmont University basketball program will host its basketball summer camp on Aug. 4–7. The camp runs from 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday of that week. Campers will receive direct instruction from the basketball coaches and players at Piedmont.

Raising Raiders Cheer Camp brings community

By Landen Todd Habersham Central High School held its Rising Raiders Cheer Camp at the Raider Gymnasium on July 9-11 for girls ages 4-12. The camp was run by the cheer program. “I was extremely happy with the way our camp progressed this year,” Raider Cheer Program Coordinator Jalen Hulsey said.

By Landen Todd Habersham Central High School has had a solid foundation in the girls golf program for nearly 20 years, and that is because of the head coach who took over and who used his love of golf and teaching to create an amazing program to help students grow as human beings.

Lady Raiders in rebuild mode

Lady Raiders prepare for upcoming season

By Landen Todd After the GHSA’s “Dead Week,” the Habersham Central High School softball team is getting in the swing of things by putting in work throughout July to prepare for the regular season, which is starting early this August.

HCHS alum Pickett signs with Denver

By Landen Todd Habersham Central High School alumnus Joshua Pickett is living the dream by continuing his football career in the NFL. He signed with the Denver Broncos in April as an undrafted free agent  and as a defensive back.
