Promise Scholarships give students options

   Students across Georgia are enjoying Thanksgiving break. For many families, their schools are one of the things that makes them grateful this week — even if the kids may not admit it.    Other families may not feel the same way. Maybe their child is struggling.

Thankful to carry on a tradition

Amendment to passage of War Crime Acts To the editor:    Amendment to passage of War Crime Acts    No American representative shall be able to give advice to a nation’s war efforts which may be run by wanted war criminals. This would include association, or could involve business efforts as well.

No more stalling

   It’s always a treat to walk into Mt. Airy’s Town Hall and see the history of the town’s old schoolhouse.    Some buildings, like that one, are worth saving, preserving and repurposing.    Others are not.

Proud of Trump’s pick

   We’re proud that President-elect Donald Trump has selected our former representative Doug Collins to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs. Being a veteran himself, he has the experience and knowledge to understand the needs of veterans and how to best address those needs.
