End of a long road

Judge Gerald Johnson has been on a life-changing journey for the last 15 months. He endured a terrible incident and was forced to face his own demons, and he detailed his battles with those issues in a very public forum. He lost his position and had to humble himself to ask for it back.

What’s red and black and smiling all over?

Most folks know I am not native to Georgia, meaning I did not grow up with the Dawgs. But something this week has made me smile anyway. I enjoyed seeing the unified sense of community that the Dawgs’ enormous success brings to Habersham and beyond.

No strength in dilution

To the editor: Don’t undermine your defense on security with globally or domestically by instituting bans. This would correlate with switching your currency to digital, which all nations do not accept.

President looking weak

To the editor: A while back I wrote a letter after viewing side by side pictures of Vladimir Putin and Barack Hussien Obama after a Russian visit by B.O. The comparison was striking. Putin was sitting astride a horse, sans saddle. He was tanned, well muscled and stared smugly into the camera. B.O.

Best part is when you try them

Well folks we’ve got another year behind us. Through good times and sad times we’ve made it. I know that many of you faced your first Thanksgiving and Christmas with loved ones missing.  Those times are hard yet with God’s help we get through it.
