To the editor: Habersham, we now have two big problems: the county landfill and our hospital! Both problems are serious because they have accumulated from previous inactions and missteps.

Georgia, like much of the United States, has not been building enough housing.
The last meeting of the Habersham County Board of Commissioners had a black cloud over it. Citizens left and right expressed their dissatisfaction with how the county is currently being run, which is, of course, the purpose of those meetings.
It’s always nice to see family, and outside of the last few Thanksgivings, I have not had many opportunities to see the stars of home.
But we made the trek to St. Petersburg, Fla., for the third-straight year.

To the editor: Why are veterans important, you may ask. Blood, sweat, and tears are spread throughout the battlefield. Mothers wondering if their child will make it back home and if a child’s parent will see them again. Veterans don’t go fight because it is “cool” or “popular”.

The term inflation “is the measure of the price of goods and services in an economy.
A little perspective every now and then can be a helpful thing. Particularly when that perspective arrives right before a holiday dedicated to gratitude.
At home in Georgia, we have problems. They’re significant problems, the kind that cry out for answers.
