Brothers and sisters in music support each other

After a scintillating performance, members of the Central Gwinnett High School band sat down on the track on the home side of Raider Stadium on Friday night. They wanted to see what the Band of Blue would produce, and the home band did not disappoint.

Never forget

It is a rare occasion on the home front if I’m not the last one to bed. Nightly, I make a stroll around the house to make sure the deadbolts are locked. After checking all the doors, I make sure William, Fenn, Sparky and Aunt Bee are snug in their beds.

Killing a long two weeks ’till Friday night

Who wants to see a bye week after putting up 42 points? I sure didn’t, the coaches at Habersham Central didn’t and the Raiders didn’t. It seems like a million years since the White County game, as college football has played two full weeks since.

The Grant-Reeves VFW Post 7720 Veterans Jamboree was moved inside on Saturday due to the poor weather, but that did not dampen the spirits and the camaraderie found in the post’s Cornelia headquarters.
