Golf Camp is driving this summer

By Landen Todd Apple Mountain Golf Club & Resort is filled with kids participating in Habersham Central High School’s golf camps this summer. The school is offering multiple golf camps during June and July.

Raiders football hosts padded camp

Habersham Central holds kids baseball camp

By Landen Todd Habersham Central High School held their Fundamentals and Intermediate Baseball Camp this past Monday through Thursday for kids ages 4-10 at Raider Park. Habersham baseball staff, current and past players help run the camp.

Orange and blue series builds camaraderie

By Landen Todd Habersham Central’s baseball team has been putting in some summer work for June at Raider Park on the Wilbanks Middle School campus. This past week they started the orange and blue series, where they divided the kids into teams to play team scrimmages and intersquads.

SRWA Golf Tournament names winners

The Soque River Watershed Association held its second annual SRWA Golf Tournament on Tuesday, June 17 at The Orchard Golf & Country Club. The tournament generated $9,900 in net profit, and those funds go towards supporting the river work projects and the water testing program.

Sports camps

Softball The Habersham Central softball program will host its annual youth camp May 27-29. The camp, which runs from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday through Thursday of that week, is designed for rising third through seventh graders and features instruction from current HCHS players and coaches.

A surreal experience

My name is Landen Todd, the new sports reporter for The Northeast Georgian. One of the biggest moments in my life was shooting most of the 2023 Georgia football season, as the photo editor of The Red & Black.

Lady Indians soccer closes solid season

A fifth straight playoff berth and winning season was earned for the Tallulah Falls Lady Indians soccer program in 2025. The Lady Indians had several high points, with none more historic than a win over No. 2-ranked Lakeview, which accounted for the biggest win in school history.
